Tours of SS Columbia at Silo City
The SS Columbia Project is inviting people aboard the 114-year-old National Historic Landmark vessel SS Columbia, now docked behind 'Marine A' at Silo City in Buffalo, New York.
45 minute tours of the vessel will be offered to twenty guests at a time. Due to the deteriorated condition of the upper decks, the tours are limited to a walk around the main deck and a view of the ballroom. SS Columbia crew will talk about the recent hull repairs and the long-term plans for the vessel.
All tours are free and open to the public. Space is limited to 20 people per tour. Reservations are required.
Note: Visitors wearing flip flops and high-heeled shoes will not be allowed aboard. Access to the ballroom requires walking up and down a set of stairs.
The vessel is not accessible to wheelchairs or walkers.
