The Black Arts On Trial
Fortress Louisbourg Association and Parks Canada are pleased to present a haunting experience, "The Black Arts On Trial.
From the same creative team that produced the "The Condemned" and "The Petticoat Duel," "The Black Arts On Trial" is an interactive theatre experience designed to scare and delight its audiences as they scour the town of Louisbourg and participate in an early modern witch hunt. Based on the historical Michel De La Valliere, the father of a Louisbourg captain, a tale of the last witchcraft trial in Canada unfolds within Louisbourg.
Louis LeNeuf DeLaValliere is a young man from an old and powerful family, and with his promotion to captain announced at such a young age, it seems he will rise higher than anyone had expected. A celebration is planned and spirits are high, but in the shadows, an ancient power stirs. No family rises to such heights without making a few enemies along the way
