Walking:Holding
What does your town look like from someone else's perspective? How intimate can you be with someone you've just met?
Walking:Holding invites you to walk hand in hand with a series of very different local strangers around nearby streets, parks and alleyways. It is aparticipatory performance for one audience member at a time, offering a gentle meditation on identity, touch and intimacy in urban public space.
"Everyone acknowledged the astute provocation in Cade's seemingly simple concept, with its flesh and blood challenge to prejudices, and it's honouring of individuals and their differences." The Herald
Rosana Cade is an artist with a background in performance. Whilst the form and context of her work varies, it is rooted in a queer discourse and straddles live art and activism. She believes in performance as a space for essential transgression of oppressive societal structures and radical live connection with others. Her work has toured across the UK and internationally to great acclaim. She is also the co-founder of //BUZZCUT// festival, Glasgow.
