The Flavors of Chemistry: Wine and Cheese
The Flavors of Chemistry will bring together four local sections of the American Chemical Society to learn about the chemistry of wine and cheese. After seminars on these topics, there will be wine and cheese pairings to enjoy.
Professor Andrew Waterhouse from the Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis will give a talk entitled "The Chemistry of Wine." Moshe Rosenberg from the Department of Food Science and Technology at UC Davis will give a talk entitled "The Chemistry of Cheese."
The District VI Director of ACS, Dr. Paul Jagodzinski, will attend and also briefly address the attendees.
In addition, the Sacramento Section will honor its 50 and 60-year members of ACS.
Parking on the UC Davis campus is free on weekends.
To ensure that members of all sections get an equal chance to buy tickets, some tickets are being released on a rolling basis. If the event is "sold out", please email Bill Miller (millerw@scc.losrios.edu) to ask about tickets.
