Radar Men From The Moon
RMFTM (Glenn Peeters, Jan-Titus Verkuijlen, Tony Lathouwers and Bram van Zuijlen.) is a Dutch art collective who approach music as avant-garde exploration. Following on from their recent split single with White Hills, RMFTM have been ceaselessly affirming themselves as figures of psychedelic re-invention amongst their contemporaries. The band co-curate Eindhoven Psych Lab and this year theyll be performing in collaboration with Gnod to coincide with the release of the new album, appearing amongst a line-up that already boasts Parquet Courts, GOAT, Temples, Follakzoid and loads more. Theyve become known for their prolific live shows, one theyve taken on several European tours, appearing on numerous psych festivals including Liverpool Psych Fest, Eindhoven Psych Lab, Desertfest Berlin and Cosmosis Festival.
Their debut album Echo Forever (released on Fuzz Club Records) has sold out after two EU headline tours in 2013 and various one-off shows at the likes of: Roadburn Festival 2013, Duna Jam 2013, the reverb conspiracy festival 2012, Freak Valley festival 2013, Desertfest Berlin and Eindhoven psych lab. In 2014 they released, Strange wave galore. Their latest work can be found on Subversive I, released in 2015; first edition of a tryptich. The second LP in the Subversive trilogy is almost upon us. Throughout the series the group is looking to explore, deconstruct and subvert their creative process and themselves as a band. In doing so the immense head-on collision between psychand acid house stretches the definitions of noise, space and time.
Masked Disobedience is the first single from the new album and gives you an insight into the limitless and abrasive experimental properties of Subversive II: Splendor of the Wicked. Artrocker
The Dutch masters of space-rock, Radar Men From The Moon are back with a 4th album,Subversive I and as soon as the needle drops the blood is fizzing in your veins Colour horizon
Subversive I is a great modern psychedelic record in sense that its influences sound to be more Post Punk/Noise Rock and where the band are exploring inner space rather than outer space..well worth a listen for fans of Heavy Psych/Stoner Rock. theepsychedelicatessen
Theres no shortage of artists out there with a desire to grab attention by subverting the norm, but very few are willing to turn that ideal upon themselves. RMFTM are one of those few, continually turning what they think they know on its head in their desire to evolve. active-listener
Theres something very refreshing and alien to these latest seven tracks, but thats not to say the Radar Men are entirely unfamiliar sounding. Like dehydrated space food, youve tasted these flavors before, just never in such a form. - Cvltnation
MDME SPKR
"Primitive and raw, there is a vitality to MDME SPKR's"Humanoid" that is missing in much of music today. It's a proper mental flossing that cleans your musical palate and lays waste to the sea of bland bands that litter the internet." Dave W. (White Hills)
"Ego-destroying and powerful soul music in the true sense of the word" Demian Castellanos (The Oscillation)
Muertos
Muertos are an Essex based 3 piece who have been turning heads over the last few months, and we wanted to share with you fine folk what it is that has got people talking...
In their own words...
"Our songs are sweet girl/boy vocals over 60s garage psych rock sometimes a bit surfy, sometime a bit Cramps-y with a big pinch of the Raveonettes. We get compared to the Velvet Underground a lot, but I think thats because we like sunglasses and bananas."
