The Seasons Country Series
Country music is as much a part of Yakima as beer and wine, but The Seasons Fall 2016 Country Series takes it to another level with performances by Cloverdayle, The Quebe Sisters, Chance McKinney and Austin Jenckes.
9/10: Cloverdayle
Buy tickets for Cloverdayle
Nashville based husband and wife songwriting team Cloverdayle originally hail from the not-so-predictable country outpost of the Pacific NW.
Since the birth of Cloverdayle in 2008, Chad & Rachel have had a relentless determination to bring their brand of country music to the masses. In 2010, Cloverdayle teamed up with songwriter and producer Terry McBride, (Play Something Country, If You See Him, If You See Her), and Dwain Rowe, (long-time band leader for Brooks & Dunn), to record a 4-song EP titled Young and Reckless. That project opened up numerous doors and has allowed the duo to embark upon their more recent adventures.
Cloverdayle is currently on tour in the U.S. featuring their summer single Play Me Something I Can Drink To.
10/14: Quebe Sisters
Buy tickets for The Quebe Sisters
When the Quebe Sisters from Texas take a stage, and the triple-threat fiddle champions start playing and singing in multi-part close harmony, audiences are usually transfixed, then blown away.
Its partly because the trios vocal and instrumental performances are authentic all-Americana, all the time, respectful of the artists that inspired them the most.
And whether the Quebes (rhymes with maybe) are decked out in denims and boots or fashionably dressed to the nines in makeup, skirts and heels, the fresh-faced, clean-cut sisters, all in their 20s, look as good as they sound.
10/22: Chance McKinney w/ Brewers Grade
Buy tickets for Chance McKinney w/ Brewers Grade
At 6'6" Chance McKinney is not only a favorite of Central Washington, but heads and shoulders above his classroom of kids, but this self-taught singer/writer/picker is a stand-out among entertainers throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The Math Teacher by day, Country Entertainer by night isnt a tale often told in media circles. How do you go from a week on tour with Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan or Dierks Bentley to teaching trigonometry and pre-calculus? Theres only one guy who would know the answer to that question. Chance is the epitome of a country song... struggling to make a dream come true while raising a family and working to pay the bills. This West Coast underdog is out to prove country isnt only a Nashville thang.
The gentleman of Brewers Grade give to music what every great song needs; Heart and soul! Whether at a packed out stadium, a small club in the northwest, or in a private recording studio, Brewers Grade strives to advance the art of music creation to new heights. With a sound that can be right at home along side any current country radio tune, these boys are determined to create a music experience that is relatable, inspiring, and will leave you begging for more.
11/19: Austin Jenckes
Buy tickets for Austin Jenckes co-presented w/ Chinook Fest
A singer-songwriter who has capture the hearts of The Voice viewers everywhere (and coach Blake Shelton), Austin Jenckes seem about as unassuming as they come. From the rural town of Duvall, Washington comes the voice of an honest soul. A 25 year old believer in the universal language of music that spills his heart into every word. With lyrical roots in country and folk, and an unmistakably unique vocal style, Austin Jenckes is by definition a singer/songwriter.
He has spent the better half of a decade paving his own way; starting with small local followings in sleepy coastal towns around the pacific northwest. In January of 2012, he moved from Washington State to Nashville, Tennessee where he recorded an independently released EP titled An American Story.
