Drama After Dark: A Night of the Macabre with Poe and Gorey

Thrill to the tales of Edgar Allan Poe and Edward Gorey in an evening of chilling drama presented by the actors of the Guild of St. George. Haunting works will be enacted throughout the moonlit grounds, including The Pit and the Pendulum, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Gashlycrumb Tinies, and more! Goosebumps guaranteed!

There will be approximately 10 performances, with each lasting 20-25 minutes; guests are invited to wander about and choose the order of the performances they wish to see. A schedule of performances will be emailed to all ticket holders prior to the event. Plan your path well and you can see up to 6 performances! Chairs are provided.

This event is held outdoors and it can get chilly, so please dress appropriately. Flashlights are welcome as there will be limited lighting and it will be dark! Guests are invited to wear Victorian style clothing, but please, no Halloween costumes.

**THIS EVENT IS FOR AGES 10 AND UP as it may be too intense for younger children. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note, infants, babies, and children under 10 will not be admitted.

The Cafe will be open from 5:30-7:15 p.m. with a selection of dinner options, desserts, beer, and wine. Doors open to the grounds at 6 p.m. The Huntington Store will also be open throughout the event with hauntingly unique gifts and complimentary hot cider.

Only areas of the grounds where performances are held will be open; visitors are invited to enjoy all of the gardens and galleries during regular public hours (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) Admission during regular public hours is a separate and required cost.
