David Daniels is a playwright, poet, spoken word artist and founder of the Reggae Theater Ensemble. His play Malcolm X Meet Peter Tosh was named by the (Denver) Rocky Mountain News as 1994's "Cultural Event of the Year." His works have been staged at Cyranos Theater (Anchorage), Mercury Café Theater (Denver), Bug Theater (Denver,) Nuyorican Poets Café (NYC), Tower Theatre (Salt Lake City) First Avenue (Minneapolis).and in Freiberg Germany among others. He was a recipient of the Many Voices Fellowship from the Playwrights' Center.
In addition, he has released two Spoken Word CD's "Talkin Roots" and the "4:20 Report with the Talkin' Roots Crew. He has shared the stage with Bob Marley biographer Roger Steffens, The Wailers, Dub Poet pioneer Linton Kwezi Johnson, Roots Musician Charlie Parr and Jamband favorites, The Big Wu.
GUANTE is an MC, two-time National Poetry Slam champion, activist and educator based in Minneapolis. He has performed everywhere from the United Nations, to the Soundset Hip Hop Festival, to countless colleges, universities, clubs, theaters and rallies across the US, and his work has been featured on Upworthy, Welcome to Night Vale, Everyday Feminism, and beyond. Two Chairs Telling has been produced and hosted by Loren Niemi since 1992 first at the Jungle Theater and since 2012 at the Bryant Lake Bowl Cabaret Theater.
