Healthy Cooking Foundation Class - Cooking with Plant Proteins - Thanksgiving Edition
Master the basics of whole-food, organic cooking while learning new culinary techniques and styles. In this class, we will explore how to cook with plant proteins to create healthy thanksgiving sides that are also vegan-friendly. You will learn various sources (whole grains, peas, lentils and beans) and their nutritional value. We will show you proper cooking techniques for different types of plant proteins that enhances digestibility and nutritional availability. After understanding the journey from nature to the point of purchase, we take the food to the table by preparing three recipes including:
Lentil "Neat" Loaf Mushroom Gravy Three Sisters Stew
All ingredients and materials are included in the class fees. Attendees will receive generous samples and printed recipes to take home. Class size limited to 20 people.
