An adventurous night of groove packed music tonight featuring two up and coming bands that are mixing genres and approach to great effect. Bulldog is a five-piece lyric and beat driven jazz-rock band with pop, hiphop, and neo-soul elements. Mammal Dap mixes elements of rock, EDM, hip-hop, and funk to create a sound that is forward-thinking yet nostalgic, indescribable but strangely familiar. Dance dance dance.

Bulldog is a five-piece lyric and beat driven jazz-rock band with pop, hiphop, and neosoul elements. Newly relocated to Boston, Bulldog formed in Amherst, Massachusetts in 2013. With strong influences from Hiatus Kaiyote, Robert Glasper, Little Dragon, St. Vincent, Portishead, Jeff Buckley, and Ween, the bands sound ranges from singer songwriter to hiphop, to funk, even to experimental and free jazz. Bulldog thrives at the intersection of jazz and hiphop, of pop and experimental.

Mammal Dap is adventurous, instrumental rock fusion based in Northampton, Massachusetts. The band is comprised of Killian Karlsson (guitar), Zack Cross (keys), Reed Sutherland (bass, synth bass), and Colin Jalbert (drums, samples). Together, the four mammals combine elements of rock, EDM, hip-hop, and funk to create a sound that is forward-thinking yet nostalgic, indescribable but strangely familiar. Their energetic live shows and rigorous touring have elevated crowds from New England to New Orleans, leading them to share the stage with acclaimed bands such as The Nth Power, Tauk, Marco Benevento, Toubab Krewe and many more.
