Dazzling vaudeville cabaret sizzles this summer with Romantasy Cabarets Cirque Nocturne
Lions, tigers and babes, oh my! Phoenix's own naughty lil vaudeville, Romantasy Cabaret, is gearing up for Cirque Nocturne, a circus-themed cabaret show for adults on Saturday, August 27 at Club Red Theater in Mesa.
Each Romantasy Cabaret show combines vibrant cabaret acts, vaudeville and slapstick, impressive dance ensembles and titillating burlesque numbers. With vivid stage lighting, powerful music selections, impressive costumes and an engaging, raunchy ring mistress acting as the shows host-emcee, Romantasy Cabarets Cirque Nocturne promises a unique and sexy circus for adults 21 and older.
Every seat is a good seat at Club Red in Mesa from the front area VIP section to the first-come, first-seated General Seating section. There's no such thing as a bad seat in the house! While photography and videography of the show is prohibited due the mature nature of some of the material, there will be a photo booth for snaps with your friends during the intermissions and during a post-show meet and greet after party when the cast and crew come out to the lobby for a cocktail hour and photos with fans.
The circus fun isnt just for the performers. Fans are encouraged to participate in the experience by dressing up in outrageous circus costumes or retro-era clothing of by-gone eras. In fact, some show numbers are audience-interactive and include willing audience participants, so attendees should look their best when attending this soiree.
Romantasy Cabaret urges advance purchase of tickets as seats do typically sell out for these productions. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 730PM to be seated before the show begins out of respect for the performers on stage and the patrons enjoying the show.
Part low-brow comedy, part risqué burlesque and part dazzling cabaret, Romantasy Cabaret has been lauded as a veritable buffet of naughty pleasures by Arizona Reporter. This bawdy and beautiful show has received such awards as Phoenix New Times Best of Phoenix for Best Vaudeville Entertainment 2009, runner up for Best Local Performing Art Troupe by East Valley Tribune in 2011, and Best Performance Troupe by the City of Tempe for 2012 and 2014. VaVaVoom, the showgirls of Romantasy Cabaret, won 2nd place for Best Performance, Group/Duo Category at the Albuquerque Burlesque and Sideshow Spectacular in 2012 as well as Best Group at Arizona Burlesque Festival in 2015.
