SEED SAVING FUN
Have fun exploring seed saving basics while enjoying the abundant Beacon Food Forest. This hands-on workshop will cover: the benefits of saving seed; some relevant plant anatomy; and how to gather, process, and store some seeds for the future. Hoping everyone will go home with a couple species of seeds to store or process. When we are done, you will know enough to do some basic seed saving and will know where to find more information for your future seed saving adventures. Intention is for you to able to save some seed at the end of this season and have them for your garden, and for sharing with community, next year! This is a beginning level course for participants who are new to seed saving. 30 participants max. Bring some of your favorite organic seeds, and willingness to share your seed saving experience, to this class!
