We finish our Chamber Music series with an all-Beethoven program consisting of two compositions that were written only a few years apart. The pieces are quite unique, but the power, emotion, and extreme craftsmanship that are hallmarks of Beethoven are on full display in both works.
Chamber music is often described as bringing together the best of both worlds. It allows each individual player to have an artistic voice while also having the joy of collaborative music-making. This intimate setting creates a musical experience far greater than the simple sum of the parts. Since 1987, the CCO has proudly presented a concert series devoted entirely to chamber music and we hope youll join us for these programs that celebrate music that moves us.
