Schumann and Dvorak are two powerhouse composers who left us with small, but extremely significant bodies of music for small ensembles. This dynamic program is certain to leave a powerful impression on those who already know these works and have an even stronger impact on those who are hearing these pieces for the first time.
Chamber music is often described as bringing together the best of both worlds. It allows each individual player to have an artistic voice while also having the joy of collaborative music-making. This intimate setting creates a musical experience far greater than the simple sum of the parts. Since 1987, the CCO has proudly presented a concert series devoted entirely to chamber music and we hope youll join us for these programs that celebrate music that moves us.
