Come and experience rock history as Riverhead Faculty and Community Theatre becomes the first on Long Island to take on "The School of Rock" Youth Production! Andrew Lloyd Weber has given us a wonderful opportunity to perform a show currently running on Broadway.....and more than forty kids ages 11-17 join forces to bring this amazing show to life!

The musical, based on the 2003 film starring Jack Black, features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Julian Fellowes.

Story:

Dewey Finn may not be rich or successful, but he sure knows rock n roll. When the jobless rocker seizes an opportunity to pose as a substitute teacher at a prestigious private school for a few extra bucks, he is inspired by the musical talents of the students there. With their well-trained abilities and his rock star attitude, he believes they can form a hard-rocking band and win the local Battle of the Band competition - unfortunately, the children's parents and teachers don't quite see it that way.
