Stranger in Paradise, Alexander Borodin's Polovetsian Dances
The Brothers Hazelrigg accompany the California Redwood Chorale(CRC) in the exotic music of Russian composer Alexander Borodin (1833-1887) whose themes from his opera, Prince Igor, were made famous in the 1953 musical Kismet. Singing fearured songs such as Stranger in Paradise is Bonnie Brooks. Although CRC will sing selections from other composers, the jewel of this concert will be our director and his brother on two grand pianos playing the original Borodin score as the CRC sings in Russian.
Robert Hazelrigg - director, John Hazelrigg - accompanist.
