YOGA + CIDER
Pomme Boots Society and Portland Cider Company host a premier Yoga + Cider experience at Portland Cider's new Taproom location in Clackamas, OR on Saturday, August 20th. Stretch into the weekend brilliantly with yoga and cider! Doors open at 10am for check in and registration; a 90-minute all level yoga class begins at 10:30am; move from mat to taproom at 12noon and enjoy a curated cider flight featuring five offerings from Pacific Northwest Cidermakers: ^5 Cider, Portland Cider Co, Baumans Cider, Finnriver Cider and WildCraft Cider Works with selected cheese pairings from Portland Creamery. Tickets $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Portland Cider is located in Building F, 8925 SE Jannsen Rd, Clackamas, OR 97015. Guests are asked to bring their own yoga mat.
YOGA
The 90-minute, all level yoga class will be led by certified yoga instructor (and cider industry professional) Jana Daisy-Ensign. The class integrates Pranayama- breathwork, Asana- physical postures in a flow sequence which combines elements of Hatha and Vinyasa styles of Yoga. Those new to yoga and those with a regular practice are welcome to attend. Modifications and variations will be provided to make the postures more accessible or add levels of challenge, as appropriate. During class, students are invited to shift inward, setting personal focus and stretch outward extending into limbs, creating more space physically, mentally and emotionally. Please dress comfortably in clothing that allows a free range of movement and bring a yoga mat. Water will be available throughout and it is also advised that students bring a water bottle. Hot tea will be available before class and a light snack will be provided after.
CIDER
Following the yoga class, we move to the taproom for a curated cider flight, featuring a hand selected offerings from: Portland Cider, ^5 Cider, Baumans Cider, Finnriver Cider and WildCraft Cider Works, paired with cheeses from Portland Creamery. Each offering will be presented by a cidermaker or cidery representative. Enjoy sampling a variety of styles and learn more about the growing local cider industry. After the flight, guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy the taproom. Portland Cider will then be open to the public, serving their regular menu including cider and lunch fare.
