Have you ever had an idea for a story and felt it would make a great movie? In this class you will learn the basics of how to write a screenplay with formatting software. From the basic idea to the finished product, you will learn the ins and outs of how to complete a screenplay for contest entry and submission. This class requires a laptop or macbook in order to use the software. Software is Celtx which costs $20.00 to download.
About the Instructor: Mona Bethke is a poet and Professor at the University of Tampa. She teaches scriptwriting, screenwriting, writing for comedic television, and mass media and society. She also teaches playwriting, flash fiction, and poetry at various venues. Mona completed her MFA in Poetry at the University of Tampa. She has worked with inner city youth using poetry as a means of expression for social conflict, and she hosts First Stop Poetry Fusion Open Mic in St. Petersburg, FL.

*Starting in August 2016 classes are $10.00 per person. Classes that meet for multiple sessions will be rated based on the total number of weeks per class. Please contact us if you need to pay at the time of the class, so we have you registered.
**THIS CLASS DOES NOT MEET AT MOREAN ARTS CENTER. We will be meeting at Florida Craft Art's Art Lofts. The entrance is through the red doors on 5th St. N. between 1st Ave N. and Central Ave.
***You only need to register once for this class, since it's a multiple session class. You may not drop in at anytime.
