Event
Santa Cruz Story Telling Festival
Our event will begin with a Story Jam in the meadow hosted by Daniel Bittleston from 5:30-6:30, before the evening performances. Here, any person of any age who is inspired to give one's own story can sign up to tell it! Each participant will be given 5-10 minutes to tell. You're welcome to come picnic on the lawn between 5 and 6:30 PM.
Our evening program will begin at 7pm on the Redwood Stage with live music. This year's dynamic line-up includes Fairy Tale Teller Sirena Andrea, Jayatu as John Muir , Leah Lamb of My Planet, and Glenn Kazmierski's Tall Tale of the Heart. We will also be charmed by the original poetry of Danusha Lameris and Rumi poet Eric Schneider This event is held completely outdoors so we encourage everyone to bring blankets or pillows if you would like to sit close to the stage. Chairs will be provided in the general seating area. The event will close with Fire Dancing.
This event is perfect for listeners of all ages who love tales of the heart, wisdom, and adventure. We do encourage families to bring only those children who are excited about listening to stories seated audience style. The meadow will be available at any time for children to live out their own playful stories.
