TJBS Presents The Great Albums Concert Series
Saturday, August 6 is the next installment in a new series produced by the Tennessee Jazz & Blues Society.
The Great Albums Concert Series will present classic jazz and blues albums in their entirety, performed by top local artists.
The second concert in the series will feature the classic 1960 John Coltrane release, "Giant Steps." The album is considered to be the breakthrough recording for Coltrane, establishing him as a major figure in jazz and influencing generations of saxophonists and virtually all jazz musicians to come.
The concert will be presented by saxophonist Don Aliquo, pianist Jody Nardone, drummer Marcus Finnie, and bassist Jack Aylor.
There will be two shows, 6 and 8:30 pm. Tickets for each show will be $20 for the general public, $15 for TJBS members, and $15 for high school and college students.
All seating will be reserved, and tickets will be available online beginning Tuesday, July 19. See seating chart below for seat locations. Patrons needing accessible seating should contact the TJBS (info@jazzblues.org). Ticket sales are non-refundable.
The location is the Nashville Jazz Workshop's Jazz Cave. Members and friends of the TJBS, and all fans of good music, are invited to come out for an evening of great jazz.
