Lessons for the Living from the Bedsides of the Dying with Judith Redwing Keyssar
Let us change the face of dying in our culture from one of fear and anxiety to one of acceptance and compassion. - Redwing
Join us for an evening with Judith Redwing Keyssar as she engages us in conversations about facing the mirror of mortality. She will offer poignant excerpts from her recent book "Last Acts of Kindness-Lessons for the Living from the Bedsides of the Dying" (signed book is included with purchase of event ticket) and examine the junction between our relationship to living fully and our understanding of impermanence. Judith Redwing Keyssar, RN is a Palliative Care Director, author, educator, national presenter, and frequent contributor to the public debate about palliative care.
About Judith Redwing Keyssar: Redwing has traversed an amazing 25+ year journey during the infancy and evolution of palliative care. Her intention in becoming a nurse was to be a midwife to the dying and tend to the critically and terminally ill. As her career migrated from oncology to critical care to hospice and palliative care, her own cancer diagnosis thrust her into the world of her patients experiences, and to facing her own mortality. Redwing now serves as the Director of a unique community based Palliative Care Program at Jewish Family and Childrens Services in San Francisco. She recently published "Last Acts of Kindness - Lessons for the Living from the Bedsides of the Dying". http://redwingkeyssar.com
