The Mixtape Improv Showcase

Crown Point Community Theatre is putting together a great night of improv showcasing teams with different styles of improv that everyone can get into.

The line-up includes:

Stir Friday Night (Long Form Improv - Chicago)
The Tony Stanzas (Musical Improv Crown Point)
Makeshift Up (Short For Improv - Crown Point)

Team Bios:
STIR FRIDAY NIGHT is an Asian-American theater company from Chicago specializing in sketch and improv comedy. Theyre 21 years old, and a nonprofit. Some of their alumni include Danny Pudi from Community, and Steven Yeun from The Walking Dead. THE TONY STANZAS is a new musical improv team specializing in improvising long-form musicals. They got their start performing the successful Love Boat: The Improvised Musical run at CPCT along with being the team behind our #SCRIPTEDvsUNSCRIPTED series of mashing up current scripted CPCT prouctions with Love Boat:The Improvised Musical. They're now branching out to begin improvising new kinds of musical styles and genres.

MAKESHIFT UP is CPCT's house improv team. They perform short-form improv (in a similar style to Whose Line Is It Anyway) and have heavy audience interaction. They've been performing for over a year now and have recently performed at the Chicago Improv Festival!
