Comedy Hits The Spot -- Again!

They're back! Melissa Douty and Rob Ruthenberg performed in front of a sold-out crowd earlier this year. Now, they're returning to The Spot on Kirk September 24th!

Douty literally wins at being funny. In 2014, she was named one of the Top 101 comedians in the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2015, Douty went on to final rounds of nearly every competition she entered. Douty made Ultimate Comic Challenge history this year in Greensboro, NC by becoming the first female comic to make the finals, and take the title.

Funny-man Rob Ruthenberg takes the stage ahead of Douty as the night's featured comedian. Rob started his career as a stand up comic touring across the country working with such acts as Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Billy Gardell, and Weird Al. He's now an on-air personality for The Valley's Music Place, Roanoke's local radio station.
