Join in the fun for the first ASLA SKETCH CRAWL, a free event hosted by ANOVA Furnishings combining the art of hand sketching in an urban setting, sightseeing and libations.
We'll meet downtown at STELLA PUBLIC HOUSE for lunch and orientation. From there we will be walking to various locations around the downtown area to sketch different aspects of the urban environment. In between stops, we will be visiting local establishments for refreshments and to review the sketches.
This years event will be led by Craig Stoffel from Hord | Coplan |Macht based in Denver. During the course of the afternoon, Craig will lead the group in a range of drafting exercises from quick napkin sketches and detailed sketches, to large scale scenes.
Do not feel intimidated. There will be people there of all skill levels. The goal of this event is to have fun, reconnect with fellow professionals through pen and paper, and explore downtown San Diego. Wear comfortable shoes and bring cash for food and drinks. Sketch materials will be provided.
RSVP deadline is Monday, July 25. Questions? Contact Joe Dodd at joe@jddesignco.com
