Rayo Brothers and Mr Denton Hatcher
The Rayo Brothers play an energetic mix of bluegrass, blues, and outlaw country, presenting a set of finely crafted original songs along with unique interpretations of traditional songs. Brothers Daniel and Jesse Reaux hail from a prolific musical family that includes Grammy-nominated Cajun bands. The brothers have struck a new path, infusing their folk and Gospel music roots with rock band enthusiasm and keen songwriting abilities. Featuring sibling harmonies and a variety of instruments - and with bandmates Lance Kelehan, Jordan Ardoin, and Sarah Jayde Williams - The Rayo Brothers put on a rollicking show that flows from raucous foot-stompers to intimate ballads and everywhere in between. Offbeat Magazine says The Rayo Brothers build a unique tapestry of Americana, lending a visceral edge missing from most folk throwback acts.
Since their inception at a songwriter competition in 2012, the band has played all over the Southern US including New Orleans Jazz Fest, SXSW, Festival Internationale, House of Blues New Orleans, Gilley's Dallas, and many more venues across the region. Their debut album "Gunslinger called a precious piece of modern American folk music by Louisiana musician extraordinaire Louis Michot was funded entirely by contributions from dedicated fans. The Rayo Brothers' next album "Coronet" is set to be released in Fall 2016.
