Totally Thames: Custom House Family Foreshore Archaeological Walk
The ideal chance for families to explore London's history together on the Custom House foreshore where all sorts of treasures may await you.
Take a stroll along the Thames with Dr Fiona Haughey and Mike Webber and see what you can pick up from beneath your feet that might date from the Great Fire of London or come from a land far away. Find the remains of someones Sunday lunch a hundred years ago or a piece of pot that might have been on Henry VIIIs dinner table.
Please ensure you wear sensible foot wear as the foreshore is an uneven and sometimes muddy surface. This event is suitable for those aged 6+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (Maximum two children per adult). Access to the foreshore is by stairs only.
