Totally Thames: Bermondsey Foreshore Archaeological Walk
Take a walk with Dr Fiona Haughey and Mike Webber looking at close quarters the site of a shipbuilding and boat repair yard and a bustling wharf-side industry as well as examining timbers from vessels over 200yrs old on the Thames foreshore at Bermondsey.
Come and see where there is evidence of human activity over 5000 years ago and decide whether a skeleton of the late medieval period found in 2002 was a victim of murder or accidental death.
Please ensure you wear sensible foot wear as the foreshore is an uneven and sometimes muddy surface. This event is for over 16s. Access to the foreshore is by stairs only.
