Totally Thames: Battersea Foreshore Archaeological Walk
Come on a walk of discovery with Mike Webber to find evidence of London's lost island of Badric's Eye, and for artefacts made by the industries that developed there during the Industrial Revolution, a crucial time in history when Britain led the world. Find the products of Morgan's Crucible Works, who were at the forefront of Victorian scientific development and specialised in making vessels for melting precious metals. Their products were used by the Royal Mint.
Meeting Place: Southside of Battersea Bridge
Please ensure you wear sensible foot wear as the foreshore is an uneven and sometimes muddy surface. This event is for over 16s. Access to the foreshore is by stairs only.
