Marin Summer Theater Opening Night After-Party!
Marin Summer Theater is having an opening night after-party to inaugurate the start of its 2012 season and you are invited to join in the fun.
On July 6, NYC theater veterans Jim Poulos, Drew Gasparini and the cast of MST's Spring Awakening will descend on Yet Wah in San Rafael to celebrate the opening of Spring Awakening at the Playhouse in San Anselmo. From 10:30pm to midnight, you'll be able to mingle with the cast and be entertained by Jim and Drew.
Jim, the director of MST's "The Importance of Being Earnest" took over the role of "Mark" in the Broadway production of Rent in 1998. Since then he originated the role of Huck Finn in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer on Broadway and has been seen across the county in the national touring productions of Little Shop of Horrors, The Graduate, and South Pacific, as well as numerous regional theater productions, most recently as "Bobby" in Company at Geva Theatre Center. He has worked with theatre greats Hal Prince, Susan Stroman, Michael Greif, Jerry Zaks and Paul Gemignani.
Drew, the musical director for Spring Awakening, is an award winning composer/lyricist. He has written music/lyrics for his musicals Crazy, Just Like Me (2011 Best Of Fest Winner of New York Musical Theatre Festival, Off-Broadway debut in 2013), Circles (NYC reading this fall, and premiere in AUS 2013), Inappropriate Stories Told At A Bar, and his serial-killer love story, Make Me Bad. Concerts of his music have been seen at Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center, and his songs can be heard on the new television show, The Next Big Thing.
Tickets for this exclusive event are only $50 per person and include beer, wine, appetizers and dessert. Get your tickets now for the party of the summer!
