Santa Cruz Edible Gardens Tour
Slow Food Santa Cruz and Friends of the Farm and Garden are sponsoring an Edible Garden Tour on Saturday, August 25. The tour will feature great examples of your friends and neighbors growing their own fresh, delicious food with private homes and public gardens on the eastside and westside of Santa Cruz. We'll also have an array of demonstrations with tips for your own garden and fun topics like fermentantion and crauting, graywater systems, how to garden with kids, and poetry in the garden.
The tour is "open studio" style and is split up into two time blocks 10am-1pm for Eastside and Midtown Gardens and 1-4pm for Downtown and Westside Gardens. The week prior to the event we begin to email our garden schedule and map to ticket buyers on a daily basis. We will continue to do so until midnight of Friday. Last minute attendees can purchase a map from our volunteers stationed at the Live Oak Grange from 10am-1pm or The Homeless Garden Project from 1pm-4pm.
IF YOU HAVEN'T RECEIVED YOUR GARDEN SCHEDULE & MAP WITHIN 24 HOURS OF PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS PLEASE EMAIL US AT ediblegardenstour@gmail.com.
YOUR MAP IS YOUR TICKET!!! NO WILL CALL, NO NEED TO PICK UP TICKETS. IF YOU'RE UNABLE TO PRINT MAP VISIT ONE OF THE GARDENS LISTED ON THE SCHEDULE THAT YOU WANT TO VISIT AND WE'LL HAVE YOUR INFO ON HAND TO GET YOU A HARDCOPY.
