Trespassers

Despite the Church's attempt to control and influence its minions, society can't be morally perfect because its individuals are not morally perfect. In the case of the Aguinaldo family, members await their Christmas celebration together as a family upon the eldest daughter's arrival from the States. However, while attending Christmas Eve Mass, their residence in Kingsville Subdivision, Antipolo is burglarized and the family arrives from church at a house in shambles. Amidst the tension brought about by the burglary, underlying family issues inevitably surface. The two heads of the Aguinaldo family, SALUD and RAMON have to deal with the latter's gambling problem. Their adult children ARA, a strong-headed single woman, and MIO, a closeted homosexual, still live under their parents' roof. DIANE, the balikbayan (migrant) daughter and her illegitimate teenage Filipino-American daughter, STEPH already have their own separate lives overseas. Treasured sentiments have been lost, relationships have evolved, personal and religious differences have become more prominent. A closetful of skeletons has been forced open, protectively shut, and family members come in and out of their own house, their country and even their own traditional Church.
