Belva Davis and JoeSam in Conversation
Acclaimed artist JoeSam came to international fame as a young man in San Francisco in the 80s. He moved to the City in the 70s to be Director of Head Start and later chaired the Redevelopment Agency. Today, he is bi-coastal with homes and studios in San Francisco and Connecticut. His friendship with veteran journalist and author Belva Davis goes back to his early days here in the 70s. Please join JoeSam and Ms. Davis in a conversation of reflection about art, jazz and community in San Francisco. And of course, no such evening is complete without a little jazz to spice up things. The conversation will be followed by reception in the Lush Life Gallery with Destiny Muhammad, Harpist from the Hood and JoeSam's art. Please join us for a most stimulating and engaging evening.
