Saturday July 14, 2012-Centennial Building at the OK State Fairgrounds, 333 Gordon Cooper Street, Oklahoma City, OK. Doors open at 5 pm, action starts at 6!
Oklahoma Victory Dolls Roller Derby hosts a Double Header. Watch two bouts for the price of one. This bout is going to be the battle for the Capital as the Oklahoma Victory Dolls take on Oklahoma City Roller Derby!
First, the Oklahoma Victory Dolls All Star Squad will go head to head with OKCRD's Tornado Alley Rollergirls in a WFTDA sanctioned bout. In August of 2009, these two teams met for the first time on the track in an Oklahoma tournament held in Tulsa with OKVD being the victor,131-41. July 14th will be the first time for the two Oklahoma City teams to bout against each other in their hometown! Will the All Star Squad bring in their 2nd win against Tornado Alley Rollergirls or will TARG avenge their 2009 loss? Don't miss this epic battle to find out who will come out on top to be the #1 roller derby team in Oklahoma City!
After the All Star Squad bout, watch the OKVD Battle Squad go up against OKCRD's Lightning Broads. It's been less than a year since these two teams duked it out on the track. In August 2011, the Battle Squad defeated the Lightning Broads 133-84. On July 14th, the OKVD Battle Squad is going in for a repeat while OKCRD's Lightning Broads plan to rain on the Battle Squad's parade. This will be a bout you won't want to miss!
Tickets are $13 in advance and are available at OKC and Norman Guestroom Records locations (http://guestroom-records.com/), Switchblade Skate Co. (www.switchbladeskate.com) or online at brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are $15 at the door. Kids under 12 get in FREE with a paid adult.
