Bassoon Out Loud - The Company You Keep

Celebrating a lifetime of music and teaching, this is the launch and first concert of the Bassoon Out Loud series at Heliconian Hall, highlighting the bassoon and it's many collaborators.

Solo bassoonist, Nadina Mackie Jackson, joins forces with lifelong friend and teacher extraordinaire (and recovering bassoonist), Leslie Magowan.

Joining them are string players Ema Nikolovska (violin), Rory MacLeod (viola) and Bryan Lu (cello) for Gebauer's Trio, Opus 33, #3 and Weber's Andante & Rondo.

The next concert is on September 25 at 3 pm Bassoon Out Loud- Ophelia Speaks with a program of music for solo bassoon and strings (Vivaldi, Lussier, Gebauer, Devienne & Francaix)
