Factory Farm Summit: Demanding Accountability in Animal Agriculture
Throughout rural America factory farms are expanding at an unprecedented rate. As a direct result, the air in rural communities is increasingly polluted, local waterways and wells are fouled, and farmers and rural citizens are finding themselves in a position of fighting for their homes, their businesses, and rural quality of lives.

This fall, citizens from across the country who are on the frontlines of factory farm expansion are invited to Green Bay, Wisconsin for the 2016 Factory Farm Summit  Demanding Accountability in Animal Agriculture. This day and a half long conference will be bring together leading experts on factory farming issues to work directly with those citizens most impacted. The day will be an opportunity to network, workshop and learn new ways to stop the expansion of factory farms and hold bad-actor factory farms accountable for their pollution.

The 2016 Factory Farm Summit September 10th and 11th at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Green Bay, WI.  

This event will be in three parts:

On September 10th at 10 a.m. there will be a tour of CAFOs in the area.  The tour will end with a visit to Tsyunhehkwa, Oneida Nation's organic farm, and then return to the convention center at 2 p.m. Cost for this is $25 with attendance limited to 100.
 
Registration/check in for the evening event is at 3 p.m. followed by a film, dinner of local foods and key note presentation by Gordon Stevenson. This event is limited to 250 and will cost $25 per person.
   
The conference on Sunday will begin with registration  at 8 a.m. and opening remarks by Rick Dove and a Ceremony of Gratitude lead by Oneida Tribal members at 9 a.m.The day will  include speakers, discussions and workshops, lunch of local foods, and closing remarks by John Ikerd.  The cost for Sunday is $25 per person.
