Flamenco Chicago Studio's 24th semi-annual studio showcase, with 20 emerging dancers performing traditional and contemporary flamenco.
The setting is the light and airy Hairpin Arts Center in the heart of the Logan Square neighborhood Milwaukee Ave. thoroughfare. (See address and map in the sidebar at right.)
Sip a glass of complimentary sangría while watching our emerging dancers, beginning through advanced, perform choreographies by Flamenco Chicago artistic director Rosetta Magdalen.
Special appearance by mezzo-soprano Jennifer Kosharsky. Critics describe her as "a powerhouse mezzo," "velvet voiced," and "a supple mezzo (who) raised the roof."
Special recordings for two pieces on the program created especially for Flamenco Chicago by cantaora Adriana Ramirez Nelson.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a seated event. Guests will be standing for the duration of the performance. Hairpin Arts Center is wheelchair accessible, and wheelchairs are accommodated in the performance space.
