The Glass Menagerie
Winner of the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, this Tennessee Williams semi-autobiographical play is filled with lyrical symbolism. The main character, Tom, is an aspiring poet who toils in a shoe warehouse to support his mother, Amanda, and sister, Laura. Torn between his family responsibilities and the need to live his own life, he is haunted by his memories and the choices he made.
