Uncivil Heart
Uncivil Heart is the story of a trans* soldier in the civil war, and his passion for a woman who is enslaved by his family. The questions of freedom, passing, and visibility in Uncivil Heart resonate from the 1850s into our own cultural moment, as we struggle again with how power destroys love. C. Bain is a gender-liminal writer and performer based in Brooklyn.
