Gina Salá Evening of Kirtan

On Friday July 22nd 7:30pm, at Quimper UU, Gina Salá offers up a swirling set of kirtan (participatory chant and mantra from a few traditions), song and story with warmth, humor and devotion. The mind rests like a bee in a poppy, and the body unwinds in the swirl of mantra and rhythm. Gina will be joined by a wonderful band, including local luminaries, David Michael on harp, and Forest Shomer on rhythm, Steve Grant, Lisa Budell and others. Jai Radhe Shyam!

Gina Salá has been chanting since her early childhood ashram years. Her repertoire spans 23 languages and performance credits include Cirque du Soleil, the United Nations, yoga festivals and more.
