Free Speaker Event: Shakespeare
Free Speaker Event: Kimberly Huth received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009 and is Assistant Professor of English at California State University, Dominguez Hills, in Carson, California. Her research explores the intersection of pain and community in English Renaissance drama, examining the way physical pain contributes to the formation and dissolution of social groups in the period. Her work has been published in Studies in Philology, Cahiers Élisabéthains, and Renaissance Drama. She is currently at work on two projectsone, a study of the social force of dramatic representations of pain in the work of Shakespeare and his contemporaries, and the other on legal remedy and community structures.
