TERRY CLEMENT Terry Clement presents an uncompromising, multi-media comedy freak-out that pushes the boundaries of reality, taste and modern humour. Terrys show is a highly original, progressive comedy experience that is more of a theatrical presentation than it is a stand-up comedy routine. Clement has performed at the Cape Town Comedy Festival in South Africa and the Reading Music Festival in England in addition to spots on the Paramount TV show "The World Stands Up" in the UK. Terry has been nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award as well as a COCA Comedy Artist of the Year Award. He has toured across Canada and the U.K. performing at comedy clubs, colleges and "alternative comedy venues along the way.
GLEN FOSTER Glen Foster has been one of the top headliners in Canada for over three decades. He didn't just work the road, he's one of the guys who helped build it. Glen appeared in his first one hour comedy special, "That Canadian Guy" in 2000 and, since then, the moniker has stuck. Many of his fans, don't even know his actual name, but they do know one thing: "That Canadian Guy" is one of the funniest comedians anywhere.
CEDRIC NEWMAN Jamaican born and Montreal bred, smilesmith Cedric Newman comes armed with a heavy-hitting style, fine-tailored to make your stomach hurt. This ten-year-veteran of funny business has graced stages from Stockholm to Cape Breton; his character securing his place as a finalist in the 2009 Great Canadian Laugh Off. Cedric draws from observations of the mundane and from the versatility of the idiosyncratic. He crushes cultural barriers, bringing new and animated angles to the otherwise familiar. In his first appearance at the Saugeen Shores Comedy Festival, Thursday's headliner is one comic not to be missed.
JAMES HAMMOND James Hammond is an all-around entertainer and one of the funniest up and coming comedians in Canada. Drawing on his life's story to win over and crack up audiences, James jokes honestly about his experiences from his upbringing in Montreal to his current life in Ontario and on to his travels around North America. More than a comedian and host of The Thursday night open mic at Vape On the Lake in Toronto, James has spent a decade-and-a-half as a hip hop performer/rap battler as well as five years hosting Much Music Video Dances. James has also appeared on YTV, CBC, the hit TV show Orphan Black and in several national-radio commercials.
PAUL THOMPSON Since a young age Paul Thompson has been passionate about one thing, entertainment. He has fuelled this passion his entire life with many different aspects of the industry. He began his career by acting in local plays and weekly comedy sketches for his class. Realizing he was talented as a writer as well he went on to win a city wide public speaking contest with a speech that he wrote and performed at only 11 years old.He was also creating buzz as the undefeated freestyle rapper, battling and performing every other week at a local YMCA dance. In his first year of high school he was already hosting weekly events and practicing his comedic timing on a stage before an audience. However wanting to be a film actor as well, Paul knew he would have to take matters into his own hands and learn how to edit. Paul claims that the first thing he edited was a masterpiece and he's only got better since.
BLAIR STREETER Since emerging as a stand-up in 2009 Blair Streeter has developed a reputation as a crowd pleaser. Winning over audiences in cities all over eastern Canada and as far away as Paris, France this versatile comedian has been the featured stand-up act at the Toronto Festival of Clowns and twice at the notorious Lunacy Cabaret. The 44-year-old father of two is no stranger to Bruce County, Blair has spent the better part of most summers at his family's cottage in Southampton and has many ties to the area.
MARIANNE GIBSON
Being a full-time mom, wife, comedienne and artist with a full-time job combines with Marianne's Gibson's unique perspective to make for hilarious, heartwarming stories. Marianne's passion for silliness in the spotlight is backed up by some serious paperwork, she's a graduate of Second City's Conservatory Program and has a BA in Fine Art from the University of Guelph where she specialized in performance.
