Something Big with Mehran Khaghani
There's Something Big going on at The Davis Square Theatre on July 21st. Featuring Mehran Khaghani with Ken Reid and Kate Procyshyn, Something Big is a monthly comedy showcase bringing some of the country's best stand-up comedians to Boston to perform at this intimate venue. Hosted by Nick Chambers and Al Park.
8:00PM doors, 21+, advance tickets recommended.
Mehran Khaghani is the stand up comedy experience of your DREAMS. Born in London to Iranian parents and socially acclimated to America by surly Bostonians, he brings to the stage a singularly delicious combination of wit, pedigree and vulgarity. Gay, gay, gay, gay, fabulous jackets, Mehran was featured prominently on Season 9 of NBC's Last Comic Standing, has been seen on MTV and Comedy Central, and is a regular at New York's famous Comedy Cellar. He has played clubs and colleges all over the country and would very much like to play with you. He also smells wonderful.
Ken Reid is an award-winning comedian and pop culture expert known for his unique storytelling style. He has recorded albums for SiriusXM Satellite Radio, performed at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival and Riot LA Comedy Festival, and opened for Patton Oswalt, Louie CK, Todd Barry, and John Oliver. Ken is a frequent podcast guest and has appeared on NPR's Ask Me Another, You're the Expert, Unfictional, The Moth, and Doug Loves Movies. He is the creator and host of the popular pop-culture podcast "TV Guidance Counselor".
Kate Procyshyn is a New England comedian and librarian. She grew up in the Biggest Little City in the World (Reno) and was once asked if she liked being "taller than the average picnic basket" (she does). She has performed in the Women in Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, and the She-Devil Comedy Festival. Kate is friendly, but mostly awkward.
