Festival Special Showcase: A Mourning Hollow by nine Hollins Playwrights
This year we're trying something a little bit different. The final show of our festival will be a collection of short plays written by nine Hollins playwrights and published as a script creating a cohesive evening of theatre on a common theme. This play will be directed by Taylor Gruenloh, who holds both an MFA in playwriting from Hollins and our Certificate of New Play Directing.
The play includes work by the following members of the Playwright's Lab: Liesl Ehmke, Eric Eidson, Kevin Ferguson, Anne GFellers Mason, Taylor Gruenloh, Laura King, Wendy-Marie Martin, Caitlin McCommis, Shane Strawbridge.

Description of the play: Welcome to Plains Hollow, Missouri. This Halloween everyone is getting a second chance. The residents of Plains Hollow, Missouri love to celerate Halloween, but this year some folks are having a hard time with life. A clown loses a childhood friend, the local cat lady doesn't like the new vet, the high school janitor gets her house coverved in toilet paper again, and the pet psychic got demoted to being a zombie at the town's Haunted Hollow Festival.
