Hats Off to Hollywood!
The Museum of Neon Art (MONA) and the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles (ADSLA) invite you to join us for a fantastic fundraiser and celebration. MONA has just restored the 1930 Brown Derby rooftop sign from Hollywood and Vine and will LIGHT it on Saturday, August 13, at the museum's new home in Glendale, California.
Both institutions are raising funds together for the restoration and remounting of the 20' x 8', porcelain enamel Zinke's shoe repair neon sign with animated neon hammer and neon shoe. The goal is to place the sign back on public display on the exterior of the new museum. The proceeds to this events ticket sales will go directly to this neon signs restoration.
This fundraiser reception will be held at the Museum of Neon Art, 216 South Brand Boulevard, Glendale on Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 7 to 10 pm. The Americana is directly across the street, so there are street parking and public parking lot available in the area.
This open house will allow access to MONA's neon classroom, gallery and gift shop. Drinks and appetizers will be provided with ticket purchase. The Howling Hobo DJ will also be spinning vintage vinyl from the 20s and 30s.
MONA and ADSLA members: $30 General Admission: $40
