A Reading at Roedde House with Jim Wong-Chu
On July 17th from 3:00-4:30pm, we will be hosting poet, anthologist, and historian Jim Wong-Chu for an afternoon of "Readings at Roedde".
Jim is the founder of Ricepaper Magazine and the literASIAN Festival. His work Chinatown Ghosts (1986) is the first published book of poetry by an Asian Canadian writer. He has also acted as a historical consultant for many major cultural projects.
Tickets include admission to the museum for tea & tour before the reading from 1pm-2:30pm. A scheduled Cantonese tour will begin at 1:30pm.
*****PARKING******: Options include the parking lot at the Empire Landmark Hotel (Robson & Broughton) or street parking on Robson and in the West End.
Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route)
