Love, Death, and the Prom
Written by Jon Jory DIrected by Kevin Shilling Assistant Directed by Jamie Kelley
Take a trip with YATC as we delve into a world of high school cliches! Love, Death, and the Prom is a series of mini-plays that connect and create a fascinating full evening of theatre. These plays are real, hard-hitting, poignant and funny, concerned with lives of people in high school. The play begins with love in ways that are at times both touching and wryly humorous. Then the play proceeds to death, as some have to cope with the staggering news of a suicide. And, of course, it ends with the prom. Out of these three related themes comes a fulfilling sense of beginning to understand, appreciate and enjoy this time of life.
