Using physical and collaborative skills in ensemble based theatre.
Study with a working physical-theatre ensemble as they guide you through their process of devising theatre. This course will take you through aspects of mime, collaboration, and compositional work to culminate in staging a short original piece. Work collectively with the members of Kinetic Fusion to learn from their approach to direction, embodying character and relationship, and bringing ideas to life in the setting of ensemble-based collaboration.

Bio:
Kinetic Fusion is a physical theatre ensemble based in Minneapolis, MN. Grounded in mime, they are constantly striving to explore and push the boundaries of movement-based acting - the Kinetic. Building on that foundation, they then blend each members specialty in opera, dance, puppetry and mime into a cohesive, multi-faceted performance - the Fusion. Add a spark of imagination and you have a world where physicality, illusions, and music are used to challenge perceptions, broaden horizons, and create a shared experience that is Kinetic Fusion.
