Rainier Valley BBQ Contest
We love BBQ so let's do some smoking!
Prizes awarded for:
Best ribs
Best pork shoulder ("pulled pork")
Best chicken thighs
With special prizes for:
Best Asian-style BBQ
Best BBQ from a church team
Best "anything goes!" entry
This is an amateur event (no big rigs!). Electricity available. Please bring your own lawn chairs, water, sanitation and trash container.
You can drop off your gear at the contest site but will need to park your vehicle on the next block.
Schedule:
BBQ Team check-in is between 7-8 am
Chicken turn-in at 12:00 pm
Ribs turn-in at 1 pm
Pork shoulder turn-in at 2:00 pm
Best "anything goes!" turn-in at 2:30 pm
Awards at 3:00 pm
