Topic: State of Sea Level Rise, Adaptation Planning and Design
Speaker: Dilip Trivedi, Dr. Eng, P.E., Vice President, Moffatt & Nichol
Dr. Dilip Trivedi is a Principal with Moffatt & Nichol in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has been practicing Coastal Engineering for about 25 years. He obtained his Graduate degrees from Texas A&M University, and Undergraduate degree from Bangalore University. His area of expertise is coastal engineering, specifically in the areas of redevelopment of urban waterfronts; dredging and sediment management; hydrodynamics and wetlands restoration; and flood mitigation and adapting to sea level rise. Dilip is an early design innovator in addressing sea level rise and is leading the sea level rise and public use planning for three of the largest urban waterfront redevelopment projects in the San Francisco Bay region. He has also played a significant role in the restoration planning for some of the largest restoration projects in SF Bay including Bair Island, Bel Marin Keys, South Bay Salt Ponds, Cullinan Ranch, and Sears Point, where he focused on the beneficial use of material dredged from navigation channels.
