Open Air Advanced Institute 2016: Parks not PARCCs
Write. Rejuvenate. Reflect. Connect.
To the outside world, summer for teachers is free time, time not spent thinking about school. To us, however, summer is a time to reflect on and engage in new ways of evolving our practice.
The Open-Air Institute provides a three-day, place-based outdoor experience for teachers to immerse themselves in the places that make Rhode Island so unique and so special. This summer, we will be exploring the past, present, and future of rural/suburban/urban Rhode Island parksthe kind of parks that fill us up as educators rather than the kind of PARCCs that deflate us.
Please consider joining us this August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for some of the best PD around, PD where you can write, rejuvenate, reflect, and reconnect with RIWPers, your practice, and the place we call home!
